Diabetes is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing long-term medical conditions. Pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes are at epidemic proportions and the Auckland region is over-represented in certain populations.
Our Mobile Awareness Service has been around since 2014, and visits communities where people work, gather, play, pray and eat. Our Mobile Diabetes Awareness Service is very popular with workplaces, events and communities filling up our calendar every month and at least three times a week.
Our Mobile Awareness Team
Our team are approachable, experienced and there to ensure that you understand the symptoms and the need for testing. They can provide resources and talk about things you can change in your lifestyle. We have a dedicated nurse and if we detect prediabetes or diabetes we will refer you to your health professional.
Are you at risk?
